When to send birthday invitations
Send birthday party invitations two to three weeks before a kids' party and three to four weeks before an adult or milestone party. For destination or weekend celebrations, give guests six to eight weeks.
What to include on a birthday invitation
- Who the party is for and the age they're turning
- Date, start and end time
- Address and any parking notes
- RSVP contact and RSVP-by date
- Theme, dress code, or “no gifts please” if you prefer
