When to send baby shower invitations
Send baby shower invitations four to six weeks before the shower. Give out-of-town guests closer to eight weeks, and ask for RSVPs about a week before the date so you can plan food and print enough game sheets.
Digital invitations are perfectly fine for most showers — the same template can be printed for grandparents and anyone who would love a keepsake.
What to include on a baby shower invitation
- The parent-to-be's name (and partner's, for a couples shower)
- Date, start and end time
- Address, with parking or entry notes if needed
- Host name and how to RSVP, with an RSVP-by date
- Registry information — a short line or a separate insert card
- Theme notes: “books instead of cards”, a diaper raffle, or dress code

“A little one is on the way! Celebrate with us at a baby shower for Sarah.”
“Oh baby! Join us as we shower the mom-to-be with love.”
“We can bearly wait! A baby shower in honor of Jessica.”
“Bring a book instead of a card — and help us build baby's first library.”
“Ready to pop! Join us for snacks, games and a whole lot of love.”

Baby shower invitations: frequently asked questions
Can I send a baby shower invitation by text?
Yes. Download the finished invitation as a JPG or PNG and send it by text, email, WhatsApp or social media — no printing required.
What size is a baby shower invitation?
5x7 inches is the standard size and fits an A7 envelope. Check each listing for the sizes included.
Can I change the colors and wording?
All wording is editable. Which design elements you can recolor depends on the template — each listing describes what can be edited.
Who usually hosts the baby shower?
Traditionally a close friend or relative hosts, though today parents-to-be often host their own or co-host with family. Put the host's name on the invitation so guests know who to RSVP to.
Should I include registry information on the invitation?
It is common and helpful for baby showers. Keep it to one short line, or add a separate registry insert card.
